ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Julia Ferreira-Alves and Sophia Perkins both posted double-doubles Saturday afternoon to lead the Lander volleyball team to a 3-2 Peach Belt Conference victory over Flagler in the regular-season finale for both teams. Game scores were: 25-18, 21-25, 25-23, 24-26, 15-11.

Lander, which split with Flagler during the season, goes into next week's PBC Tournament 23-11 overall and 11-7 in the PBC, while Flagler drops to 20-7, 13-5. The Bearcats' 23 wins ties a school record for victories in a season, while its 11 wins is a new PBC mark.

The fifth-seeded Bearcats will travel to fourth-seeded Montevallo on Tuesday for the first round of the PBC tournament.

Ferreira-Alves had 14 kills and 14 digs, while Perkins tallied 27 assists and 10 digs. Halle Dotson added 13 kills, Khiani Kelly 12 kills, Tarryn Angermeier 10 kills and seven blocks, Ali Kirk 23 assists, and Kendall Korte 16 digs. Reyonia Whipple chipped in six blocks.

Flagler was led by Sara Davis (17 kills), Megan Hooks (17 kills), Jenea Reddick (13 kills), Tara Savisky (56 assists, nine digs), Caitlyn Kovach (31 digs), and Payten Pillsbury (13 digs).
