Box Score DAHLONEGA, Ga. - Madison Salters scored two goals Wednesday afternoon to lead the No. 16-ranked North Georgia women's soccer team to a 3-1 Peach Belt Conference victory over Lander.
The Lady Saints improve to 12-2-1 overall and 7-2-1 in the PBC, while Lander moves to Lander 7-7, 5-5.
Salters gave the Saints a 1-0 lead at 25:00 after finding the back of the net off a long pass from Jessi Vaverka.
North Georgia stretched the lead to 2-0 at 46-49 when Jade Pennock fired a shot in from in front of the goal off an assist from Rachel VanHorn.
Salters then netted her second goal off a pass from Rachel VanHorn at 46:49 to extend the margin to 3-0.
Lander scored its lone goal of the game with 19 seconds remaining after Erin Dooley scored on a penalty kick.
North Georgia outshot Lander, 22-6, and led in corner kicks, 7-1.
Bearcat goalkeeper Shannon DeSantis grabbed four saves, while North Georgia's Mallory Sayre had three.
Lander will next travel to Armstrong State for a PBC contest at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, in Savannah, Ga.
