MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The No. 26-ranked Georgia College women's tennis team defeated No. 40 Lander, 6-1, in a Peach Belt Conference match Sunday in the Lady Bearcats' regular-season finale.

Georgia College improves to 16-6 overall and 9-4 in the PBC, while Lander slips to 15-5, 9-5.

Both teams have qualified for the PBC Tournament, which will be held this Thursday through Saturday in Florence, S.C.

In singles, No. 1 Macy Polk (GC) def. Marion Courbis (L) 6-1, 6-0; No. 2 Carolina Lainez (L) def. Camille Clausse-Pujo (GC) 6-4, 6-3; No. 3 Ivana Marevic (GC) def. Tiffany Vanhpraseuth (L) 6-4, 6-1; No. 4 Cristalei Polk (GC) def. Ivanka Mocic (L) 6-2, 6-2; No. 5 Alyssa Savill (L) vs. Hannah Serdinia (GC) no result; and No. 6 Cayce Bradley (L) vs. Katie Krupp (GC) no result.

In doubles, No. 1 Camille Clausse-Pujo/Ivana Marevic (GC) def. Carolina Lainez/Cayce Bradley (L) 8-2; No. 2 Macy Polk/Hannah Serdinia (GC) def. Marion Courbis/Renata Mello (L) 8-2; and No. 3 Katie Krupp/Cristalei Polk (GC) def. Tiffany Vanhpraseuth/Alyssa Savill (L) 8-4.
