GREENWOOD - Lander's Kendall Korte and Jessica Register posted double-doubles Tuesday night as the Lander volleyball team fell to GRU Augusta, 3-2, in a Peach Belt Conference match in Horne Arena. Game scores were: 23-25, 25-22, 16-25, 25-18, 15-12.

GRU Augusta improves to 15-4 overall and 5-2 in the PBC, while the Bearcats move to 12-4, 2-4.

Korte had 16 kills and 13 digs and Register 46 assists and 22 digs for Lander. Sydney Tracy added 19 kills, Julia Ferreira-Alves 23 digs, and Kaitlyn Harrison eight kills and 15 digs.

The Jaguars were led by Kailla Baptist (14 kills), Kristen Koch (13 kills, 16 digs), Katie Beresford (11 kills), Paige Elliott (11 kills), Maggie Darling (11 kills, 23 digs), Alyssa Latham (42 assists, 15 digs), Catherine Desilveste (24 digs) and Kali Boatwright (10 digs).

This weekend Lander will travel South for a PBC weekend against Flagler and Armstrong. The Bearcats face Flagler at 7 p.m., Friday, then meet Armstrong at 1 p.m., Saturday.
