GREENWOOD – The Lander men's soccer team and the University of North Georgia battled to a 0-0 double-overtime tie Wednesday night in a Peach Belt Conference game at Van Taylor Stadium.

Lander moves to 6-5-2 overall and 2-4-2 in the PBC, while North Georgia goes to 3-11-2, 2-5-1.

The Bearcats outshot the Nighthawks, 19-17, and led in corner kicks, 10-3.

Lander goalkeeper Barrett Nielsen totaled seven saves, while North Georgia's Victor Ohlin had five.

The Bearcats next travel to PBC rival Francis Marion on Saturday, Nov. 1, where they will close out the regular-season in a 7 p.m. contest.
