Box Score COLUMBUS, Ga. – The No. 17-ranked Columbus State University women's soccer team netted two second-half goals Saturday afternoon en route to a 2-0 Peach Belt Conference victory over Lander.
Columbus State improves to 13-1-1 overall and 8-1-0 in the PBC, while Lander moves to 6-3-4, 3-3-3.
Kelsey Pelletier scored what proved to be the winning goal at 59:42 off a double-assist from Nicole Corcione and Kiana Nicholson.
Cassandra Wade netted the Cougars second score at 75:05 off a pass from Nicholson.
Katie Lyle recorded six saves in goal for Lander, while Columbus State's Maylyn Parsons had four.
CSU outshot Lander, 14-5, and led in corner kicks, 11-3.
The Bearcats will next host the University of North Georgia at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 29, at Van Taylor Stadium.
