GREENWOOD – Freshman Kendall Korte had 10 kills to lead the Lander volleyball team to a 3-0 non-conference victory over Lees-McRae Tuesday night in Horne Arena. Game scores were: 25-16, 25-17, 25-17.

Lander improves to 9-3 overall, while Lees-McRae sinks to 1-12.

Jessica Register added 22 assists, while Kristen Dodge had nine. Sarah Bradley led the team in digs with 20 and Julia Ferreira-Alves totaled nine. Bradley and Katelyn Kraft had two service aces each.

Lees-McRae was led by Jordan Banta (seven kills), Haydn Beatty (seven kills, nine digs), Jessica Winchester (20 assists, 14 digs), Avalon Liscio (10 digs), and Candace Niemiec (10 digs).

Lander next travels to Georgia College for a 7 p.m. Peach Belt Conference game on Friday, Sept. 27.
