Box Score GREENVILLE – The No. 10 Lander baseball team suffered its third straight defeat Tuesday night when the Bearcats fell to Anderson University, 4-1, in a non-conference game at Fluor Field.
Anderson moves up to 15-30 overall, while Lander slips to 29-9.
Spencer Earle (2-4) earned the win for the Trojans on the mound after striking out five, walking four and allowing one earned run on five hits in six innings.
Lander's Johnny Walker (0-1) took the loss, striking out two, walking one and allowing two earned runs on two hits in 1.1 innings pitched.
The Bearcats took their only lead at 1-0 in the fifth inning on Graham Ramos' RBI double that scored Aaron Poole.
Anderson went up 2-1 in the bottom half of the inning on Tony Price's two-RBI single that plated Nathan Galliford and Shawn Delmontagne.
The Trojans stretched their advantage to 4-1 in the eighth when Steven Cooper drove in Price and Josh Hickman advanced home on Eric Sanderson's sacrifice fly.
For Lander, Tyler Wilson went 2-for-4.
For Anderson, Price batted 2-for-3.
