DAHLONEGA, Ga. - Precious Elkins recorded her seventh double-double of the season with a season- and game-high 29 points and 15 rebounds Saturday afternoon in the Lander women's basketball team's 91-83 Peach Belt Conference loss to North Georgia College & State University at Memorial Hall Gymnasium.

North Georgia improves to 11-14 overall and 9-9 in the PBC, while Lander falls to 8-16, 5-12.

Elkins connected on 13-of-17 field goals and 3-of-4 free throws to lead the Lady Bearcats. Briana Wade and Aarika Judge added 18 points each, while Lea Saunders had 10 points and six assists.

The Lady Bearcats connected on 33-of-73 field goals (45.2 percent), including 10-of-30 threes (33.3 percent), and 7-of-9 foul shots (77.8 percent).

North Georgia was led by Mimi Hill's 27 points. Molly Rainwater added 17 points and six rebounds, Stephanie Huffman 16 points and Jaymee Carnes 14 points and nine rebounds.

The Lady Saints made 33-of-57 floor shots (57.9 percent), including 8-of-19 threes (42.1 percent), and 17-of-26 free throws (65.4 percent).
