Box Score GREENWOOD - Lander's Tarryn Angermeier, a sophomore from Spartanburg, S.C., was named to the All-Peach Belt Conference volleyball team it was announced at a banquet tonight by the league office.
A 5-9 middle hitter, Angermeier was selected to the second team in a vote by the PBC head coaches.
Angermeier, who was voted the 2012 PBC Freshman of the Year, led Lander with 375 kills and 31 service aces. She also had 82 blocks (72 assists, 10 solos) and 84 digs.
In the PBC, Angermeier is second in kills and kills per set (3.41), third in total attacks (972) and eighth in hitting percentage (.270). Earlier this year, she was selected the PBC Player of the Week on Oct. 28 and was also a member of the 2013 preseason All-PBC team.
Angermeier joins Kay Stewart (2007, 2007, and 2008) and Melissa McCracken (2009 and 2010) as the only Lander players in the 16-year history of the program who have earned All-PBC honors at least twice.
