Box Score DAHLONEGA, Ga. – Clement Dauchy scored two goals and added one assist Wednesday night to lead the Lander men's soccer team to a 3-1 Peach Belt Conference victory over North Georgia.
Lander improves to 9-4-1 overall and 5-3 in the PBC, while North Georgia sinks to 3-12-2, 1-5-2.
Dauchy, assisted by Kevin Durand, flicked the ball over the goalkeeper's head from 17 yards out to give the Bearcats a 1-0 lead just 2:15 into the game.
Robert Seaton stretched the Bearcat lead to 2-0 at 12:07 when he scored off an assist from Dauchy.
Dauchy, who has a team-leading 13 goals this season, and Durand teamed up again at 34:24 to extend the Lander lead to 3-0.
North Georgia's lone goal of the game came at 54:14 when Ben Tayi found the back of the net off an assist from Tyler Daly.
Lander outshot North Georgia, 17-10, and led in corner kicks, 6-2.
North Georgia goalkeeper Kris Alonzo had four saves, while Lander's Barrett Nielsen totaled five.
Lander will next host Francis Marion at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2, in a PBC contest at the Jeff May Complex.
