GREENWOOD – Columbus State's Mandy Janowitz scored the lone goal of the game Saturday afternoon to lead the Cougars women's soccer team to a 1-0 Peach Belt Conference victory over Lander at the Jeff May Complex.

CSU improves to 11-5 overall and 7-2 in the PBC, while Lander drops to 11-3, 7-2.

Janowitz's goal was her fifth of the season and came from 10 yards out off an assist from Kelsey Pelletier.

Lander outshot CSU, 6-4, and both team had two corner kicks.

Both goalkeepers, CSU's Maylyn Parsons and Lander's Katie Lyle, had three saves.

Lander will next travel to North Georgia on Wednesday, Oct. 30, for a 4:30 p.m. PBC game.
