Box Score GREENWOOD – Ilija Ilic netted two goals Wednesday night to lead the No. 3-ranked Young Harris men's soccer team to a 2-1 Peach Belt Conference victory over Lander at the Jeff May Complex.
Young Harris improves to 12-1 overall and 6-0 in the PBC, while Lander moves to 8-3-1, 4-3.
Lander jumped out to a 1-0 lead at 11:40 when Clement Dauchy netted his 11th goal of the season and was assisted by Brett Jankouskas.
Ilic, who leads the PBC in goals scored with 15, tied the game at 1-all when he headed in a shot off an assist from Niall McCabe at 42:30.
Ilic and McCabe teamed up again for the winning score, another shot in front of the goal, at 60:57.
Young Harris outshot Lander, 13-12, while Lander led in corner kicks, 6-4.
Both goalkeepers, Lander Barrett Nielsen and YHC's Pedro Ozi, had four saves.
Lander will next host Limestone College in a non-conference contest at 6 p.m., Saturday.
