GREENWOOD – Lander's Tarryn Angermeier and Hannah Dederick combined for 33 kills and Jessica Register added a double-double Tuesday night to lead the Lander volleyball team to a 3-1 Peach Belt Conference victory over GRU Augusta at Horne Arena. Game scores were: 25-17, 25-17, 20-25, 25-23.

Lander improves to 13-8 overall and 4-7 in the PBC, while GRU Augusta drops to 6-18, 1-12.

Angermeier had a game-high 17 kills and Dederick followed with 16, while Register added 42 assists and 20 digs. Kiki Hennessey led the team in digs with 27, while Sarah Bradley had 23 and Kendall Korte 12. Angermeier also had seven block assists and Kaitlyn Harrison had five.

GRU Augusta was led by Paige Tuttle (16 kills), Kristen Koch (15 kills, 14 digs), Chandler Mass (44 assists, 14 digs), Catherine DeSilvester (24 digs), Maggie Darling (20 digs), and Michaela Nonigl (12 digs),

Lander next travels to face PBC rival Francis Marion in a 4 p.m. match on Friday.
