Box Score SAVANNAH, Ga. - Aarika Judge scored a game-high 23 points Thursday night to lead the Lander women's basketball team to a 67-55 Peach Belt Conference victory over Armstrong Atlantic at Alumni Arena.
Lander improves to 5-7 overall and 2-3 in the PBC, while Armstrong falls to 6-6, 1-4.
Judge connected on 8-of-26 floor shots, including 5-of-15 threes and 4-of-4 foul shots. Judge also had nine rebounds. Lea Saunders added 16 points, four rebounds and three assists, while Precious Elkins had 15 points and nine rebounds. Ashleigh Zandi led the Lady Bearcats with a game-high 10 rebounds.
The Lady Pirates placed three players in double figures led by Tori Klewicki-McNutt's 17 points. Bryonna Davis added 12 points in the loss, while Stephenie Coney netted 10 points and Mauri Wells and Demisha Mills added 10 and nine rebounds respectively.
Lander, which led, 33-26, at halftime, connected on 24-of-59 field goals (40.7 percent), including 7-of -21 threes (33.3 percent) and 12-of-18 free throws (66.7 percent).
The Pirates connected on 20-of-61 field goals (32.8 percent), 8-of-28 threes (28.6 percent) and 7-of-11 free throws (63.6 percent).
Armstrong outrebounded Lander, 44-40.
