GREENWOOD - The No. 16 Georgia College women's tennis team defeated Lander, 8-1, Tuesday afternoon in a Peach Belt Conference match at The Joe Cabri Tennis Center.

Georgia College improves to 6-5 overall and 3-4 in the PBC, while Lander moves to 8-6, 3-3.

Nicola James (L), 6-0, 6-0; No. 4 Kayla Barksdale (GC) def. Cayce Bradley (L), 6-1, 6-0; No. 5 Leah Pridgeon (GC) def. Lori Flick (L), 7-5, 6-2; and No. 6 Michelle Lingner (GC) def. Raissa Adusumilli (L), 6-4, 6-1.

In doubles, No. 1 Johnson/Lingner (GC) def. Ruffat/Bradley (L), 8-5; No. 2 Barksdale/Setyon (GC) def. Caitlin Fell/Flick (L), 8-0; and No. 3 Adusumilli/Adusumilli (L) def. Marevic/Pridgeon (GC), 8-5.
