COLUMBUS, Ga. - The first-year Lander women's golf team is in fourth place of 12 teams Monday after the first round of the Lady Cougar Collegiate Classic hosted by Columbus State University at the par-72, 5,821-yard Country Club of Columbus. The final round will be played on Tuesday.
UNC Pembroke leads the team competition with a 27-over-par 315 and is followed by: 2. Shorter 325, 3. Columbus State 331, 4. Lander 332, 5. Queens 333, 6. Tusculum 335, 7. Montevallo 337, 8. Catawba 345, 9. Wingate 346, 10. North Georgia 348, 11. West Georgia 364, and 12. North Greenville 373.
Individually for Lander, Ashley Shinn is tied for fifth at 7-over-par 79, Rachel Uremovich and Valentina Bueno are tied for 19th at 84, Dea Mahendra is tied for 24th at 85 and Mariana Martins is tied for 30th with 87.
There are 62 golfers in the field.
