YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. - The Lander women's tennis team won two of three doubles matches, but claimed only one singles as they dropped a 5-3 decision to Young Harris College in a non-conference match Tuesday afternoon.

Young Harris improves to 5-3, while Lander slips to 3-2.

In doubles, No. 1 Jane Plevako/Charlotte Dawson (YHC) def. Aurela Ruffat/Caitlin Fell (LU), 8-1; No. 2 Brandi Cordell/Cayce Bradley (LU) def. Katie Bryant/Charlotte Moreau (YHC), 8-2; and No. 3 Eliza Adusumilli/Raissa Adusumilli (LU) def. Lina Parra Pava/Stormy Dvorak (YHC), 9-8 (7-3).

In singles, No. 1 Plevako (YHC) def. Ruffat (LU), 6-3, 6-3; No. 2 Dawson (YHC) def. Eliza Adusumilli (LU), 6-2, 6-2; No. 3 Cordell (LU) def. Moreau (YHC), 6-0, 6-0; No. 4 Pava (YHC) def. Bradley (LU), 6-4, 7-5; No. 5 Bryant (YHC) def. Lori Flick (LU), 6-2, 6-4; and No. 6 Dvorak (YHC) def. Raissa Adusumilli (LU), 4-6, 6-4, 1-2, unfinished.
