Box Score ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The sixth-seeded Lander volleyball team saw its season come to an end Saturday afternoon when second-seeded Flagler defeated the Bearcats, 3-0, in the semifinal round of the Peach Belt Conference Tournament. Game scores were: 25-18, 25-18, 25-12.
Lander, which upset third-seeded USC Aiken, 3-1, on Friday, ends the season with a 15-17 overall record.
Flagler (22-9) advances to Sunday's 2 o'clock championship match against top-seeded Armstrong Atlantic to see who earns the PBC's automatic berth into the NCAA national tournament.
PBC Freshman of the Year Tarryn Angermeier totaled 12 kills for the Bearcats, while sophomore Jessica Register had 20 assists and seven digs and senior Madison Kubal tallied 13 digs. Kubal finishes her career third on Lander's all-time dig list with 1,732.
The Saints were led by Dianna Craine (13 kills, 12 digs), Crystal Niederriter (10 kills), Sophie Meyer (10 kills), Amelia Morgan (43 assits), Casey Gnann (15 digs) and Emilee Taylor (11 digs).
