Wingate, which improves to 12-5-1 overall, advances to this week's third round against Flagler College in St. Augustine, Fla. The semifinals and finals will be hosted by the Peach Belt Conference on Nov. 29 through Dec. 1 at Blanchard Woods in Evans, Ga.
Lander, the eighth-ranked team in the country, ends the season at 12-3-2 overall.
Wingate, which defeated Montevallo, 2-1, in the first round of the tournament, took a 1-0 lead over Lander at 24:45 when Fabio Azeredo headed the ball in off an assist from Victor Tozelli.
Clement Dauchy knotted the game at 1-all for the Bearcats after he scored off a Chris Hobbs assist at 68:07.
Figuiera scored the game-winning goal, which was assisted by James Card, at 89:18.
Wingate outshot the Bearcats, 13-12, but Lander led in corner kicks, 7-5.
Lander goalkeeper Cody Brooks and Wingate's Daniel DeGraff both recorded two saves.

In the other half of the bracket, No. 17-ranked Flagler, the second seed, advanced past UNC Pembroke in a shootout. After a 0-0 double-overtime tie, the Saints outshot UNCP, 4-2, in penalty kicks.
UNCP defeated third-seeded Mar Hill, 3-2, in the first round.
