GREENWOOD – The Lander volleyball team dropped to .500 on the season Friday night when Augusta State defeated the Bearcats, 25-25, 25-16, 26-24, in a Peach Belt Conference game in Horne Arena.

Augusta State improves to 16-11 overall and 4-6 in the PBC, while Lander moves to 12-12, 4-4.

Kaitlyn Harrison and Hannah Dederick had nine and eight kills respectively for the Bearcats, Jessica Register added 28 assists and 11 digs, and Madison Kubal had 12 digs.

Augusta State was led by Kristen Koch (15 kills), Jenna Keeler (11 kills), Alex Rohlfing (11 kills), Krystin Wahlig (47 assists), Andria Tagarelli (23 digs), Mandy Irizarry (15 digs) and Collette Richards (10 digs).

Lander will host the University of Montevallo at 2 p.m. Saturday in a PBC game in Horne Arena.
