Box Score DUE WEST - The No. 16-ranked Lander men's soccer team won its seventh straight game Wednesday night when the Bearcats defeated Erskine College, 3-0, in a non-conference contest.
Lander improves to 10-1 overall, while Erskine moves to 5-4-3.
Chris Hobbs netted his team-leading ninth goal of the season at 5:08 on an assist from Matthew Bell to give Lander a lead it would not relinquish.
Kevin Durand, who leads the country in assists with 12, netted his fifth goal of the season on an assist from Russell Parker at 32:09 to stretch the Bearcat lead to 2-0.
Clement Dauchy finalized the scoring at 67:27 on an assist from Durand. Dauchy has eight goals this season.
Lander outshot the Flying Fleet, 19-7, and led in corner kicks, 6-4.
Erskine goalkeeper Roberto De La Vina totaled 10 saves, while Barrett Nielsen had one.
