AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Lander volleyball team saw its four-game win streak come to an end Tuesday night when the Bearcats fell to Augusta State, 3-2, in a Peach Belt Conference contest in Christenberry Fieldhouse. The Jaguars won, 18-25, 25-16, 20-25, 25-17, 15-9.

In the PBC opener for both teams, Augusta State improves to 4-6 overall and 1-0 in the PBC, while Lander moves to 6-4, 0-1.

For Lander, Mallory Wasik tallied 12 kills, while Jessica Register had 38 assists, 11 digs and four service aces. Madison Kubal recorded 28 digs, while Katelyn Kraft had 15 and Magi Nottingham 14.

Augusta State was led by Alex Rohlfing's 18 kills and 16 assists, while Mandy Irizarry had 13 kills and Jessica Hanson 10. Krystin added 46 assists and 14 digs, while Chelsea Foster chipped in 18 digs.
