DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The North Georgia men's soccer team scored a pair of first-half goals Saturday evening and never looked back as the Saints posted a 3-0 Peach Belt Conference victory over Lander.
North Georgia improves to 8-6-1 overall and 4-3 in the PBC, while Lander falls to 7-6-1, 4-2-1.
Gray Phelps gave the Saints an early 1-0 lead when he scored a goal on an assist from Jamie Gleeson at 12:41.
James Dobbin stretched the Saints' lead to 2-0 at 42:11 on an assist from Juan Hurtado.
North Georgia scored its final goal at 58:23 on Gustavo Cunha's 15-yard shot on an assist from Hurtado.
North Georgia outshot Lander, 19-15, and led in corner kicks, 4-3.
Saints goalkeeper Rade Tanaskovic tallied five saves, while Lander's Matthew Atkinson had four.
