GREENWOOD - Kendall Couch scored two goals Wednesday night to lead the Lander women's soccer team to a 4-0 non-conference victory over Converse College.
Lander improves to 5-3 overall, while Converse drops to 0-7.
Katariina Lyytikainen gave Lander a 1-0 lead with her first goal of the season at 23:25 on an assist from Christina Barbour.
Couch netted her first goal unassisted at 37:35 to give Lander a 2-0 lead and found the back of the net again at 46:43 on an assist from Georgie Mahon. Couch now has five goals on the season.
Kelley Maupin scored the game's final goal at 71:56.
Lander outshot the Valkyries, 41-2, and led in corner kicks, 6-0.
Chelsea Beetch and Katherine Baltz split the goalkeeping duties for Lander. Baltz recorded one save.
Converse's Ashley Mercuri had 16 saves.
Lander will host North Georgia in a Peach Belt Conference game at 1 p.m. Saturday.
