GREENWOOD - The No. 32-ranked Lander women's tennis team, led by four singles victories and two doubles, defeated North Georgia College & State University, 6-3, Wednesday afternoon in a Peach Belt Conference match at The Joe Cabri Courts.

Lander improves to 11-7 overall and 5-5 in the PBC, while North Georgia dips to 6-14, 3-9.

In singles, No. 1 Stasa Vujoseciv (NG) def. Aurelia Ruffat (L), 6-2, 6-2; No. 2 Brandi Cordell (L) def. Brittany Smith (NG), 6-0, 6-3; No. 3 Juliana Chiong (NG) def. Caitlin Fell, (L), 6-0, 6-4; No. 4 Eliza Adusumilli (L) def. Ashley Marie Jordan (NG), 6-1, 6-0; No. 5 Nicola James (L) def. Jordan Poole (NG), 6-0, 6-0; and No. 6 Melanise Newbold (L) def. Matilda Watson (NG), 6-1, 6-0.

In doubles, No. 1 Smith/Vujoseciv (NG) def. Ruffat/Zaia (L), 8-1; No. 2 Adusumilli/Cordell (L) def. Chiong/Poole (NG), 8-4; and No. 3 James/Fell (L) def. Vaughters/Ringoffer (NG), 8-3.
