AUGUSTA, Ga. - The Lander volleyball team placed three players in double figures Wednesday night as the Lady Bearcats defeated Augusta State, 3-2, in a Peach Belt Conference match in Christenberry Fieldhouse.
Lander improves to 10-12 overall and 4-7 in the PBC, while ASU drops to 10-19, 3-10. Lander won the match, 22-25, 28-26, 25-20, 14-25, 15-8.
Candace LaRocca registered 51 assists and 12 digs, while Melissa McCracken had 16 kills and 13 digs, and Magi Nottingham 12 kills and 20 digs. Hannah Dederick and Jordan Rix had 12 and 10 kills respectively, while Madison Kubal added 24 digs.
Augusta State was led by Karoline Stenlund (16 kills), Lagi Roberts (11 kills, 19 digs), Mand Irizarry (10 kills), Lisa Bartsch (45 assists, 15 digs), Andria Tagarellia (25 digs).
Lander will host Armstrong Atlantic at 7 p.m., Friday, and Flagler at 2 p.m. Saturday.
