BANNER ELK, N.C. - The Lander volleyball team fell to 9-12 on the season Saturday afternoon when it dropped a 3-0 decision to Lees-McRae College in a non-conference match. The Bobcats won, 26-24, 25-18, 25-13.
Lees-McRae improves to 17-7 overall.
Melissa McCracken led the Lander attack with six kills and seven digs, while Courtney Simmons and Magi Nottingham added five kills each. Candace LaRocca and Abbey Focht posted 12 and 10 assists respectively, while Madison Kubal and Nottingham had six digs each.
LMC was led by Megan Epperson (13 kills, 12 digs), Whitney Justice (11 kills, 7 digs), Megan Mitchell (36 assists) and Lauren Fox (11 digs).
The Bearcats next travel to Augusta State for a 7 p.m. Peach Belt Conference match on Wednesday, Oct. 27.
