GREENWOOD - The Lander women's soccer team battled UNC Pembroke to a 0-0 Peach Belt Conference tie Saturday afternoon.
Lander is now 8-5-1 overall and 3-4-1 in the PBC, while UNCP moves to 11-1-2, 5-1-1.
Both teams had six shots the first half, while the Lady Bearcats outshot UNCP, 5-2, in the second half. Lander outshot the Lady Braves 7-2 in the two overtime periods. Christina Barbour, Jamie Shaw, Kendall Couch and Jessica Skowron each had two shots on goal for Lander.
Lander outshot UNCP, 18-10, while the Lady Braves led in corner kicks, 3-2.
UNCP goalkeeper Britney Bennett had 10 saves, while Lander's Katherine Baltz totaled three.
Lander next travels to the University of Montevallo on Saturday, Oct. 23 for a 2 p.m. PBC contest.
