ANDERSON, S.C.----Jannica Finnberg scored one goal and had one assist to lead Lander to a 3-0 victory over Anderson University in the opening match for both teams Friday night at Smethers Field.

Lander scored its first goal at 34:58 when Valarie Smith scored off a rebound.

The score remained 1-0 until the 59:59 mark when Finnberg scored on a header off a corner kick from Stacey Copeland.

The Lady Bearcats scored their final goal at the 74:08 mark when Christin Moss scored off a cross from Jessica Skowron.

Lander goalkeeper Rachael Hine made two saves to earn the shutout.
