LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - Freshman forward Molly Griffiths scored a game-high 18 points to pace a balanced offense of six double-figure scorers as Assumption College (Worcester, Mass.) built a 29-point lead on its way to an 84-71 victory over Lander at the 2007 Disney's Division II Women's Tip Off Classic basketball tournament on Sunday afternoon at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex near Orlando.
Senior forward Tiara Good led the Bearcats (1-2) with 18 points including 13 in the second half, shooting five-of-15 from the floor and four-of-12 from 3-point territory. She was also named to the All-Tournament Team for Group Intensity after averaging 20.7 points for the three games.
Junior guard LaShonda Chiles was the only other Lander player to score in double figures with 12 points.

And, when senior forward Charde Floyd did her patented spin move on the block with 14:35 left in the first half the Greyhounds led 16-8 and she become the 16th Greyhound to reach the coveted 1,000-point plateau.
Floyd finished with 10 points, 14 rebounds, her 25th career double-double and her second in this tournament. She now has 841 career rebounds and needs 159 to become the fourth to reach both 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds. She had 34 rebounds for the tournament, two shy of the tournament record.
Junior guard Bethany Plasski recorded her first career double-double with 15 points and 10 assists for the Greyhounds (2-1). Senior forward Megan Urban and sophomore guard Meagan Cook both came off the bench to score 12 and 11 points, respectively. Junior point Trish Gardner contributed 10 points and eight assists.
The Greyhounds came out flying scoring the first 11 points of the game and holding the Bearcats scoreless until junior center Stephanie Ponds hit the first of two free throw attempts at the 17:23 mark. Lander went on a 12-5 run to trim the lead to four points at 16-12.
Plasski drilled a long-range 3-pointer just four seconds into the game and then Gardner and Griffiths connected from outside the arc before Griffiths added a conventional wing jumper to make it 11-0 with 17:53 left. The Hounds made nine 3-pointers in the game, just two short of their team record, while Lander made 11-of-23, just two short of the Hounds opponent record.
