GREENWOOD----All-American Adam Arthur scored two goals and added one assist Wednesday night to lead the No. 22-ranked Lander men's soccer team to a 5-0 non-conference victory over North Greenville University.

Lander improves to 11-3-2 overall, while North Greenville drops to 6-8.

Nick Cooke, a 2006 All-American and Peach Belt Conference Player of the Year, gave Lander a 1-0 lead at 6:30 when he scored off an assist from Martyn Bell. Arthur followed with an unassisted goal at 17:14, then Drew Courtney stretched the margin to 3-0 on an assist from Jamie Davison.

Arthur's second goal, a penalty kick, came at 38:54 to give the Bearcats a 4-0 lead. Ivan Stoykov scored Lander's final goal at 64:30 on an assist from Arthur.

Lander outshot North Greenville, 17-7, and led in corner kicks, 5-2.

North Greenville goalkeeper Cody Gray had seven saves, while Lander's Garrett Daum and Clark McCarthy had one each.
