BREVARD, N.C.----The Lander volleyball team improved to 13-2 overall Wednesday night when the Bearcats defeated Brevard College, 3-0 (30-25, 30-23, 30-25), in a non-conference game.
The victory was the tenth time this season Lander has won 3-0.
Sara Senn led the way with 10 kills, while Kay Stewart and Andrea Griffin had nine kills each. Stewart also had three solo blocks and five block assists. Jennifer (JJ) Edwards totaled 30 assists and 10 digs, while Marina Camps had nine digs and Ashley Ferry two service aces.
Lander will open the Peach Belt Conference portion of its schedule this weekend when the Bearcats host Francis Marion at 7 p.m. Friday and UNC Pembroke at 3 p.m. Saturday.
