UNC Pembroke baseball holds off Bearcats, 4-2

PEMBROKE, N.C.----UNC Pembroke's Jordan Carter pitched a complete game four-hitter to earn the win and lead the Braves to a 4-2 win over Lander Sunday afternoon in Peach Belt baseball action.

In the bottom of the fifth, Jeff Adams' single to left drove home Keith, who walked and moved o second on a groundout, and broke the 2-2 tie and gave UNCP a 3-2 lead.  The Braves added an insurance run in the eighth as Dietrich singled to right plating Aaron Perkins for a 4-2 advantage with one frame to play.

With the win, Carter moves to 6-1 on the season, while Lander's Jake Hover (2-2) was handed the loss as he surrendered three runs in six innings of work.
