ORANGEBURG----The Lander baseball team improved to 23-11 overall Wedneday when the Bearcats defeated Claflin University, 10-1, in a non-conference game.

Jake Hover (2-1) earned the victory, striking out seven, walking one and allowing one earned run on three hits in seven innings pitched. Evan Christian struck out one, walked one and allowed three hits in two innings of relief.

Adam Hutchins went 2-for-5 with one home run and two RBI; Radley Raven went 3-for-4 with one double and four RBI; Gabe McCann went 3-for-6 with one RBI and Kevin Davis went 3-for-4 with one RBI.
