SAVANNAH, Ga.----Peaches Howard scored 12 points Wednesday night to lead the Armstrong Atlantic State University women's basketball team to a 68-40 Peach Belt Conference victory over Lander in Alumni Arena.

Armstrong Atlantic improves to 8-5 overall and 3-3 in the PBC, while Lander slips to 4-7, 0-4.

AASU entered halftime on a 21-4 run, building a 36-16 halftime advantage and going on to the victory, holding Lander to just 26 percent shooting from the floor.

Howard connected on 6-of-8 field goals as 12 different Lady Pirates scored

Tara Nyikavaranda led the Lady Bearcats with 11 points and 14 rebounds.
