Lander University

Cheryl, Lander's Assistant Athletics Director and Senior WomanAdministrator, was hired at Lander in 1965. When she first came toLander she worked in the Registrar's Office and Academic Affairsbefore moving to Athletics.

She received both her Associate's Degree (1982) and herbachelor's degree (1995) from Lander.

Cheryl, a graduate of Greenwood High School, coached the Landerwomen's tennis team for five years and also serves on the boards ofthe Bearcat Club, Compliance Committee, Athletics Committee andParking Committee.

She was the recipient of Lander's Staff Excellence Award in2005.

She previously served as the secretary/treasurer for NAIADistrict 6; was past president for the Upper Savannah TennisAssociation and was on the finance committee at St. Mark's UnitedMethodist Church.

Cheryl and her husband Jimmy have two sons, Brad and Brian, andfour grandchildren.
