St. Augustine, Fla. - #17 Bearcats fell to #14 Wingate on Friday afternoon in the first round of the NCAA Southeast Regionals. The Bearcats lost to the Bulldogs 1-4, finishing the season at 15-5.
Men's tennis started of the match hot, winning the Doubles point before the start of Singles.
Markus Sorensen and
Nick Beamish were victorious in No.1 Doubles 6-3, while
Ambroise Marchand and
Nicolas Chan defeated their opponents in a 7-6 tiebreaker set.
In post season tennis, the first team to four team points secures the win.
Matthew De Groot kept it close, but was overwhelmed 6-7, 4-6.
Mouad Naoui gained four set points in a 1-6, 3-6 loss.
Emilien Baradel dropped to his opponent 0-6, 3-6, while
Alexandre Crepy was halted 5-7, 2-6.
Hugo Regner and Marchand Ambroise both had unfinished matches in No.1 and 2 Singles.
