GREENWOOD – Lander wrapped up the regular season with a 3-0 victory over Georgia College & State University on Saturday afternoon. 

Kaitlyn Thompson found Lucy Bova, who fired through traffic and found the back of the net in the 13th minute to give Lander the early lead. Despite having several opportunities to extend the lead in the first half, the score remained 1-0 at the break. 

In the 63rd minute, Alarie Hodge ran past the defense and scored her sixth goal of the season to extend the lead to two. Nine minutes later, Sammi Wolf found Romie Llewellyn, who scored the third goal of the game. The Bearcat defense held the Bobcats to just one shot on goal in 90 minutes to record the shutout.
