Women’s Tennis Falls to Northwood, 3-4

Orlando, Fla. - The Bearcats had their four-game winning streak snapped by Northwood on Monday afternoon, in a 3-4 loss. 

Emily Ineson and Mille Elsborg defeated their opponent 6-3 in No. 1 Doubles, alongside a 6-4 set victory from Chiara Gerbino and Roberta Armani for the doubles point. 

Gerbino won her No. 1 Singles match as well, going to three sets of 4-6, 7-6 [5], 11-9. Raquel Acco was also victorious in the No. 5 Singles match, also needing extra sets winning 3-6, 7-5, 10-7.  

Lander women's tennis is set to play in Orlando, Fla. again on Wednesday, Feb. 9th. The next opponent will be Palm Beach Atlantic.
