Young Harris, Ga. - Women's tennis get back on track with a win over Young Harris on Monday. The Bearcats earned their first conference win with a 5-2 victory, dominating in Singles.
Lander dropped two Doubles sets, giving the Lions the first point of the day. Emily Ineson and Mille Elsborg fell 2-6, and Shea Connelly and Maranda Adiar were defeated in a tiebreaker after a 6-7 set. Hannah Panchal and Roberta Armani were the lone victors for the Bearcats, dominating 6-1.
The Bearcats scored five points out of six singles matches. Adiar won 6-0, 6-2 in No. 1 Singles, while Panchal represented No. 3 Singles winning 6-1, 7-5. Ineson overcame a three-set push of 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 in No. 4 Singles. Armani handled No. 5 Singles with a score of 6-4, 6-2, while Connelly came out on top in No. 6 Singles with a 6-0, 6-4 victory.
Women's tennis is back in action on Saturday, March 26th hosting Limestone.
