CHARLESTON, S.C. – Although scoring first, the Lander men's rugby team fell to The Citadel 56-12 on the road Sunday.

The Bearcats were first on the scoreboard after a try from Tyler Sherwood and conversion from Jeremiah Rosenbrook made it 7-0 Lander.

The Bulldogs however would go on to score 44 unanswered points before a try from Ethan Richardson made it 44-12.

Lander takes to the road to face Belmont Abbey next on November 6.
