GREENWOOD – The Lander men's rugby team ran its record to 2-0 on Sunday afternoon as the Bearcats knocked off College of Charleston, 40-22, in front of over 200 fans at New Res Field.

The Bearcats were led by three tries from Cam Smith, while Eric Burkett and Holden Graham each tacked on a try of their own. Matthew Shoemaker scored a try and converted five of his six conversion attempts on the afternoon. 

Lander puts its unbeaten record on the line next Saturday when the Bearcats hosts UNC Greensboro for a 12:00 p.m. match.
