Bearcats place 23rd, 24th at NCAA Southeast Regional

WINGATE, N.C. – The Lander cross country teams conlcuded their seasons at the NCAA Southeast Regional on Saturday morning. The Bearcat men finished 23rd while the women finished 24th. 

Trent Powers once again led the men, finishing the 10K race in 36:15.8. McKenna Burrows clocked in at 37:50.0, followed by Sam Smith at 37:28.8. Samonzy Wiggins and Chase Couch crossed the line in 40:38.3 and 40:54.5, respectively. 

In the women's race, Gabbi Hart paced Lander with a time of 26:13.8. Katie Abare clocked in at 26:48.9 and Madison Chesney followed at 26:51.8. Melanie Murray recorded a time of 27:33.9, while Savanah Rackliffe finished in 29:14.0. Missy O'Toole rounded out the Bearcat group with a time of 31:36.1.
