Volleyball drops five-set match at Augusta, grabs No. 4 seed in PBC Tournament

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Lander volleyball team closed the regular season Saturday afternoon with a 3-2 loss to Augusta. 

Lander (19-9, 8-4 PBC) will be the No. 4 seed in next weekend's Peach Belt Conference tournament. Augusta (24-8, 8-4) will enter the tournament as the No. 3 seed. 

Kyra Ross and Reilly Kuenstler led Lander's offense with 15 kills each, while Ross also notched 13 digs. Hannah Hritz recorded 13 kills and Madilyn Reed tallied 43 assists. Hannah McManus finished with 23 digs, while Corey Nichols registered 17 and Boo Luther added 12. 

The Bearcats will face No. 5 seed Francis Marion at 6:30 p.m. next Friday night at USC Aiken.
