Lander set to host No. 22 Georgia College at 5:00 on Friday

GREENWOOD – The Lander women's soccer team returns home after a pair of road wins to take on 22nd-ranked Georgia College in the Peach Belt Conference opener at Van Taylor Stadium on Friday night at 5:00 p.m. The match was originally scheduled for Saturday night at 7:00 p.m., but was moved up due to Hurricane Florence.

• Lander (5-0) and Georgia College are meeting for the 16th time in series history. The Bobcats hold a 7-5-3 lead in the series. 

• The Bearcats are searching for their first win over Georgia College (5-0) since 2014. Lander won five consecutive meetings prior to 2015. 

• Lander is looking to post its third consecutive shutout. The Bearcats have not shut out three straight opponents since 2013. 

• 2013 also marked the last time the Bearcats won each of their first three home contests. 

• Georgia College has not allowed a goal this season. 

• Lander is tied for the PBC lead with nine assists this season, led by five from Emily Jermstad

• The Bearcats and Bobcats boast the two best defenses in the conference, allowing a combined two goals this year.
