Lander wraps up Cutter Creek Invitational in second place

SNOW HILL, N.C. – The Lander women's golf team saved its best round for the final round at the Cutter Creek Invitational as the Bearcats shot a 21-over 309 to secure second place. 

Caroline Hardee shot the low round of the day for Lander with a 3-over 75 to finish fifth, while Hannah Stephenson used her 4-over 76 to move into a tie for third on the leaderboard. 

Madison Jordan fired an 8-over 80 to tie for seventh, while Marley Barefoot shaved five stroke off her round one score with a 7-over 79 to place 12th in the field. Nichole Trombetta delivered a 15-over 87 to finish 16th. 

Individually, Tatum Warr used a 9-over 81 to tie for 10th, while Chloe Hiott closed with a 20-over 92 to end the tournament in 21st. 

Mount Olive hung on to win the tournament at 40-over par (616), followed by Lander (626), Barton (660), and Sandhills CC (827). 

Lander will return to the course in 20 days for the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate.
