GREENWOOD – Freshman guard Zamiya Passmore was Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week on Monday after averaging 27.5 points per game on 69% shooting in Lander's two games vs. No. 9 Anderson and Limestone.
Passmore opened her week with a 28-point performance in a home win against Anderson, setting a new career high. The Trojans had no answers for Lander's top scorer as she shot 12-for-16 from the field and made all three of her three-pointers. She followed with 27 points, five rebounds, and four assists against Limestone.
The Locust Grove, Ga., native is the first Bearcat to score at least 25 points in consecutive games since Jessica Harris scored 26 against Young Harris and Clayton State last season.
Passmore is currently second in the PBC in made field goals and third in scoring. She ranks fifth in the conference in shooting percentage.
Lander returns to action Tuesday afternoon with a home game against Barton at 4:00 p.m.
