GREENWOOD – For the second time this season, Jessica Harris has been named the Peach Belt Conference women's basketball Player of the Week. In Lander's two games last week, Harris guided the Bearcats to a pair of wins while averaging a double-double. The Sumter, S.C., native tallied 25 points, 13 rebounds, eight steals and seven assists in Lander's 87-65 win over Francis Marion. She followed that with 12 points and eight boards at Georgia College in a two-point Bearcats win.
On the week, Harris shot shot 13-for-32 from the field and went 8-for-10 from the free throw line, while adding 5.0 steals and 5.0 assists per game.
Harris currently leads the PBC in points, assists, steals, minutes, and made free throws. She is the third Bearcat player in the last two years to earn multiple Player of the Week honors in a single season.
The Bearcats host Clayton State on Monday before hitting the road to face USC Aiken on Saturday.
