GREENWOOD – Lander women's basketball junior Tabitha Dailey was named Peach Belt Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday after averaging 24.0 points and 7.5 rebounds in wins over Young Harris and Georgia Southwestern.
Hailing from Augusta, Ga., Dailey earns her first career conference player of the week award after extending her streak of scoring in double figures to five consecutive games.
In an 88-56 win over Young Harris, the junior posted 15 points and eight rebounds. Against Georgia Southwestern, Dailey set a career high with 33 points on 14-of-19 shooting, while hauling in seven boards in the 91-53 victory over the Hurricanes.
The 5-9 forward ranks third in the PBC in both offensive rebounds (38) and total rebounds (92), while ranking fourth in the conference in field-goal percentage (53.6).
Lander puts its four-game win streak on the line at UNC Pembroke on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
